Holly-Hunter

Holly Hunter is an American actor and producer who is well-known for her high-quality performance in films such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano and The Incredibles. Her work has been recognized with numerous awards for her work and has even won an Oscar. Her acting career began on Broadway with a variety of Broadway and Off Broadway productions. She has had a passion for acting ever since she was in school. Her first role in a play in fifth grade was as Helen Keller. Following a bout of mumps, she became blind on the other side the ear. But, it didn't stop her from pursuing her dream to become an actor. She studied drama at college before moving from Pittsburgh and moved to New York City to follow her goals. After a casual encounter, she was trapped in an elevator along with writer Beth Henley and the two collaborated in the Broadway Crimes of the Heart and was Hunter's first performance. After moving from New York to Los Angeles, Hunter tried to get film roles. The role of a supporting actress was securing for her in Swing Shift. Her career spans more than 30 years, and she's been featured in a variety of TV films, films and series. Holly Hunter is a Hollywood Walk of Fame celebrity and has been awarded the Women in Film Lucy Award.
