Holly-Hunter

Holly Hunter (born Holly Hunter) is an American actor and producer who is gaining recognition for her stellar performance in movies such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano, and The Incredibles. She won several awards like an Oscar for her role in the film Piano. Actresses have an extensive history of working on Broadway as well as Off-Broadway projects. Since the time she was in school, she portrayed Helen Keller in a play in fifth grade. Mumps caused her to be blind and deaf in one ear. However, she didn't let this to hinder her ambitions of becoming an actor. She studied drama at college before moving to Pittsburgh to New York City to follow her dreams. Hunter came across Beth Henley by chance in an lift. They wrote together Broadway Crimes of the Heart. This was Hunter's acting debut. After she was settled in Los Angeles, she began to search for film roles. The role she was offered came as an actress who played the lead character of Swing Shift. Since her time in Los Angeles she has appeared involved in numerous TV shows and movies. Holly Hunter received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and was also awarded her the Women in Film Lucy Award.
